The Greenwoods Academy is a private child care school fostering the integral education of children from preschool through elementary. Conveniently located minutes from the Kanata Research Park at 1056 Klondike Road [n Ottawa, Unlike most daycare centres whose emphasis is on play only, the Greenwoods Academy additionaly provides a quality Montessori education for your children.

The Stepping Stones is our Toddler program. Encompassing two child care age group;: Junior Toddlers aged 18 to 30 months, and Senior Toddlers aged 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old.
The toddler program follows a holistic Montessori philosophy as it creates a stimulating environment for the child to develop both fine and gross motor dexterity, competence and provides for social interactions with other children

Information Registration

The Children's Garden school program, for 3 1/2 to 5 year olds, is a holistic Montessori based child care education program that guides students through the various curriculum activities within a child-centered environment. This independent nurturing ambience allows for the child to develop a sense of wonder through hands on exploration using the Montessori materials. Children learn social graces as they interact and collaborate with one another.

The Orchard House school program is for children attending elementary grades 1 through 3.
As an elementary school our programming is based on both the Montessori and Ontario elementary school curriculums. As a private school we adhere to the highest teaching standards, providing an exciting and thorough exploration of each curriculum component. We group students over a three year cycle enabling them to form close bonds with their teachers and fellow students.
Mentoring is an important aspect of the overall experience at Greenwoods Academy. The multi-age classrooms allow for the exchange of ideas, peer and teacher mentoring as well as social connections. Within the curriculum students have the opportunity to learn about global awareness and social diversity through Peace Education
